The quiet was a real plus, especially at night, and the place sits about 300 m from the road. We were five people, including an older parent, and the owner kindly let us use the club house even though we had booked the tree house and boat house. The boat house itself has a lovely setting and simple decor. Club house rooms are basic, but being near the shared areas made it easy to reach the kitchen, pool table, and book corner. Birds were the first visitors each morning. A few things to plan around: after 4 pm, nobody is on the property unless the caretaker is delivering food. There’s only one place to order from if you don’t want to cook, and the approach road is a bit uneven.

We also went to Munnar and Kochi, but this stay was the one that stuck with me. We only had a short visit, and I wish we’d allowed more time to enjoy it. The setting is tucked into the forest beside a lake, with everything we needed. Water, birds, insects, and the soft November rain made it feel wonderfully calm. At night, the moonlight coming through the trees was something else. With the lights off, it felt both peaceful and a little exciting. The weather added to it all. A memorable place.

The tree house would be my pick over the available two-bedroom private villa. The place is tidy and well maintained, set among tea plants, and it’s a quiet, calm spot. Comfortable and beautiful to stay in.

The peaceful location is a plus, but we had less comfort than we expected while travelling as a family. The room could have been a bit neater, and staff support needs improvement. Food was another letdown, especially the breakfast, which didn’t feel worth what we spent.

The scenery is the best part, with hills on one side and tea plantations on the other. We stayed in a simple, clean treehouse on a hillside tea estate, above a slow winding river. It was basic but comfortable, though the stay as a whole felt average. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and filling. There’s no kitchen operating on site, so food has to be ordered from a nearby restaurant. The caretaker gives you the number and charges ₹300 for delivery, but leaves for the day after bringing the food, so make sure your order is placed before then. After 7 PM, bugs are a real problem. Keep the windows shut and stay indoors, or insects will swarm in.
