Cockroaches were crawling on the bed, and there was a persistent bad smell in the room. It was deeply uncomfortable and unhygienic. The room itself was in very poor condition, with damaged plaster work covered in sellotape, and cleaning equipment left blocking the walkway. The lift wasn't working, but the hotel accepted guests without warning them. They also confirmed by phone that they'd provide an extra bedsheet, then refused once I arrived. This was a thoroughly unpleasant stay. I wouldn't recommend the hotel until hygiene, maintenance, and honesty improve.
