Zion Inn by OYO Rooms

The rooms needed a thorough clean. There was garbage by the back entrance and ground-floor parking, and more rubbish with street dogs at the front. I don't plan on coming back. We were traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when heavy rain forced us to stop overnight. We were tired and asked reception about two rooms. They quoted ₹1000 per night, though I had seen ₹1732 for two rooms on Cleartrip. They said they weren't connected with Cleartrip and only partnered with Oyo. When I asked if they'd accept a Cleartrip booking, they said they would if one came through. It was late, we were exhausted, and the Cleartrip option with free cancellation came to about ₹2200, so I booked directly. The rooms were small and smelled unpleasant, and the bedding wasn't clean. The AC in the first room didn't work, but they moved us to another room where it did. At checkout I asked for a GST bill. The receptionist said they usually only give non-GST bills, and a GST bill would cost extra. He seemed new, so we asked him to call the person from the night shift. That person gave us a GST bill and some water bottles at no charge.

We booked and paid through a third-party app for a big room, but they gave us a terrible room and charged extra for the mattress they provided. The bathroom was so small it was hard to bathe comfortably. We had a very bad stay and wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms were good. I stayed three nights, and at 999 per night with breakfast, the price seemed quite fair.

The service was disastrous. I was unwell and asked reception, then called four or five times, for some warm water. The kettle finally arrived after two and a half hours. I also asked for a plate and glass, calling at least eight times, I think, but they still hadn't arrived. Maybe they're still on the way.
