The lobby and rooms have a mind-blowing ambience, and the rooms themselves are superb. Being near the ghats and Jain temples is a major plus. Staff were courteous and helpful with advice about getting around and places to see, and transport is easy to find from the property. Highly recommended.

The washrooms hadn't been cleaned before the hotel gave them to customers. The staff didn't meet basic customer service expectations, and there was no value placed on commitments.

The biggest problem was the staff service. Hot water didn't work in any of our three rooms, and after several complaints they still didn't fix it. They told us to say when we wanted to bathe so they could open another room with hot water for us. The reception person seemed to spend all day on the phone. After four days of being ignored, we contacted our panditji, who had booked the hotel; he called the owner and threatened to cancel future bookings. The manager then moved us to somewhat better rooms with individual water heaters, though a door handle came off in one room and they patched it up. In another room, the AC remote didn't work, so we had to borrow one from a different room. The rooms were reasonably clean but small. Work was going on, the corridors were dirty, and wires hung from the ceiling. They didn't even provide a bottle of water. Overall, very poor service. Avoid this hotel.
