Hotel Picasso

The main problems were the room size and pests. Our room felt suitable for only two people, too small for more, and small cockroaches and termites came out at night. The staff sprayed after we complained, but that didn't fully solve it. There's no lift, which could be inconvenient. On the positive side, the hotel is well located near all the ghats, and the owner and staff behaved well.

We booked two rooms for our family, one Non-AC and one AC Deluxe, but only one was available at check-in. We then had to wait nearly four hours, which was a major inconvenience. The room we got had frequent power cuts, including a major outage around 11:00 PM. We complained repeatedly and heard nothing for almost an hour, even though other rooms had electricity. The washroom had a strong chemical and foul smell, so it was extremely uncomfortable to use, especially for the elderly members of our family. After I raised the power issue and asked for the owner to be informed, we were told early the next morning to change rooms again. That was unreasonable after so many adjustments. When we refused to move yet again, a staff member spoke rudely and unprofessionally, raised his voice, and made inappropriate remarks. This started after we declined the staff's insistence that we use their travel and sightseeing services. Poor room management, hygiene, slow responses to complaints, and the unacceptable staff behavior made the whole experience highly unsatisfactory.

Assi Ghat is very near the hotel, and there are beautiful shops nearby in a very nice area. We were four friends from Mumbai visiting Kashi temple, and we were lucky to have such cooperative staff. Owner Mr Umesh Yadav was a very nice and helpful person. Thanks to him and the staff for the best hospitality. I suggest visiting hotel picasso.

I booked a room, but the hotel didn't provide one there and shifted me to a nearby guest house instead. That was completely unacceptable and misleading. The room was very poor, the geyser didn't work so there was no hot water, and the service was very bad.
