JS Banaras Residency

The only good part was the helper who cleaned the rooms around midnight and helped us with the cars and other things. The man at the counter turned our stay into a nightmare, and I won't return or recommend the place. I was visiting Banaras with my parents and in-laws, and this was awful for them too. When we arrived, the person at reception was drunk and asleep at the counter. After several tries to wake him, he started rambling that we could sleep on the bed at reception. Once he came around, he realized there weren't rooms for us, even though he'd confirmed an hour earlier that they were empty. He didn't seem to know guests were there and started knocking on everyone's doors around 11 to 11:30 PM. A hotel cleaner finally told him there were no rooms. He offered one available room and another meant for staff, then somehow gave us a room that was supposed to be used by the owner. It took an hour of hassle to get a room. After check-in, he'd already received our IDs, but kept coming to knock on our door about them. This went on until 12:30 AM. When we finally went to reception, the printout was still sitting in the printer. The property itself was new and the rooms were fine, but management was very poor.
