The location is very good, the rooms are clean, and the property is budget friendly and convenient. Mr Santosh Sanskar at reception is especially nice and always ready to help with a smile. If you visit Varanasi, you should book this property.

Praveen, the owner, has an outstanding personality and helped us a lot, including with sugam darshan, sight seeing, and shopping for authentic vanarasi silk sari. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vimoksh. The personnel were well behaved, and the room was outstanding. Try staying here when you visit varanasi 😀😃.

I travel often, and I haven't posted a bad review before, but this booking in Varanasi with my family was a mess. A month ahead, I reserved two standard AC rooms. On check-in day I called the property using the number Agoda provided and was told everything was confirmed. I also said we'd arrive around 2 PM. At 1 PM they called to say they'd moved us to another property, far from the mandir. When I asked to cancel and get a refund, they were rude on the phone and said the money couldn't be returned under their policy, and that Agoda couldn't help either. They also gave Agoda incorrect information when asked about what happened. I can't recommend this place.

Our three-night stay on March 22, 23, and 24 left us miserable. The manager, Mr.Santhosh Samskar, behaved in an unruly and eccentric way and refused to move us out of room 101 despite its dirt and other problems. We ended up having to squeeze into a room used by others in our group, and got no refund for the empty room. The owner, Mr. Praveen, should address the manager's conduct and consider CCTV at reception if there isn't already any. The rooms were cramped, around 100 square feet, and the approach is down a very narrow lane with no parking. Washrooms were dirty, walls damp and musty from what seemed to be faulty plumbing, and taps dripped continuously. There were cockroaches, and our bed linen wasn't changed once during the three nights. We had to ask repeatedly for water bottles, and the AC and geyser were only switched on when requested. Our whole time in Varanasi felt like a nightmare. The property needs to make real improvements.
