Hill Top Beach Resort

My stay was fine, but the massage service was extremely poor. I paid 2000 for one last week, and it was the worst massage I've had. They only put on oil and rubbed without any clear technique. The therapist didn't seem to know body pressure points or massage methods. A complete waste of money, and I wouldn't spend a penny on a massage here. When I complained, nobody responded or took the feedback seriously. Very disappointing, and not even worth one star.

The location on the cliff top made the view lovely and getting to the beach easy. The stay and massage were both reasonably priced, and Anupam, the restaurant owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. I was scammed at another restaurant, and these guys helped me sort it out. I really appreciate their hospitality. Honestly, this was the best place I found in Varkala.

The room was dirty and the chair broken. There was no water heater, and the person in charge said non-AC rooms wouldn't get one. The extra cot wasn't proper, just a cushion mat about two inches thick. The bathroom door was damaged and wouldn't lock properly. Bad experience.

It's hot and humid here, and you can't go onto Varakala Beach at night. The hotel is walkable to the beach, with food stalls, drinks, bike rental and shopping nearby. We stayed one night in an AC room with two single cots, paying 3,000/- on the weekend. That's a bit costly, though the view makes it worthwhile. They also have Non-AC rooms. A good option depending on your budget.
