The estate has lots of space to walk around and enjoy the greenery. We took the whole house, so it was private and undisturbed, and April nights were cool enough that we didn't even need a fan. The homemade food was delicious. Nearby food choices were limited, but the kind host arranged meals from places close by. The single Thondar home stay has an old, ancient style that gives it a special charm. Our two rooms were cozy and had the comforts we needed. The house and both bathrooms were very clean, and the fully equipped kitchen made things convenient. A peaceful place with warm hospitality, and a lovely way to unwind in nature in Wayanad.

Ashique's Jeep tour took us to hidden, uncrowded spots. The lesser-known dam side and a mountain trek were both awe-inspiring. Ashique also knows authentic Kerala cuisine, and his food made the stay special. The cottage can comfortably suit two families of 4-5 people each, though the amenities in the house could use a slight upgrade. The stay is tucked away in lush greenery and complete seclusion. I loved every moment there. Even with that small need for an upgrade, the whole experience was outstanding, a comfortable way to spend time in nature.

Ashique's traditional food was a highlight. Every meal was carefully prepared, with flavors and ingredients that showed off the region's cuisine and its culinary heritage. His passion for giving guests a memorable stay came through in the food and the service. The homestay is surrounded by forest, with lush greenery, a tranquil atmosphere, and soothing sounds of nature. It felt like a real haven for a peaceful break. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful to have found this hidden gem. If you want a quiet escape with authentic local food, this place is a must-visit.

Ashique made our two-day trip one of the most memorable ones. The property is beautiful, with lots of hidden gems to explore. You can trust him to help plan an itinerary with popular destinations as well as offbeat places known only to locals. A one-of-a-kind experience.

The owner, Aashique, knows the area inside out and is incredibly helpful. He took us to lesser-known spots that felt like paradise, brought us great local food, and made a bonfire. We actually wished we'd stayed for at least a week. You really can choose this property without a second thought. It's tucked into a beautiful, lush green property, with a stream flowing beside the farm. The setting feels almost meditative and is really unique. One room had a very small bathroom and no washbasin, but everything else was totally worth it.
