V Resorts Cliff Hanger Wayanad

We went for a long weekend with friends who feel more like family, including elderly relatives, and brought our pets along. By the end, the pets didn’t want to get back in the car! We mostly just relaxed, and the food was amazing. Mr. Paul was a super host, and the hospitality was excellent. The property could use a little makeover and maintenance. I’m not sure if work stopped because of the pandemic, but some improvements would make it even better. The cliffhanger really is on a cliff, and the final stretch has a short, steep section with tight curves. My ISUZU 4x4 handled it easily, but drivers of smaller vehicles need to be confident. We’ll be back soon, especially for that amazing food.

The cook makes wonderful breakfast and dinner, and the hospitality was amazing. The balcony and grounds have beautiful views, and it’s a fantastic place to stay and relax. Reaching it takes a little effort since it’s on a hill with a manageable off-road stretch. Some maintenance is needed in the rooms, toilets, and walls, as well as the dining chairs, table, and dining area.

A really quiet place, with warm and friendly staff. The hills look surreal, and you can hear the forest all around. I didn’t see it myself, but apparently mist drifts into the rooms each morning.

The people here are genuinely nice and very helpful. If you ask, they can arrange transport and contacts for trekking. But there isn’t much to do on the property beyond enjoying the room and the view, and you’ll need to set off early to visit places around Waynad. I’d rated it 3 because it needs more activities and facilities.
