This stay tested our patience, and my family would rather forget the Wayanad experience. They didn't provide basic things like soap, towels, or an extra bed. It's hard to believe this is an OYO property. OYO is compromising its standards, and people who book online based on the ratings are being fooled. This isn't the way forward for OYO.
The room was clean, but it sits on the first floor of a commercial building, so stepping outside feels like entering a market. It's right by the highway near the 4th mile junction, and the noise makes it hard to sleep peacefully.
Booking through OYO turned into a hassle. We reserved a non-AC room with breakfast, but the bathroom leaked and breakfast wasn't available. They moved us to an AC room that only had a side fan, then charged an extra 400 per night for it. We paid in cash, while getting the breakfast refund through OYO was another headache. The staff weren't helpful about accommodating us.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the management was good. Staff were very cordial. Since it's right on the main road, shops are easy to find, and there's car parking too.
Being in the town area made it easy to get around. The room had a lovely atmosphere and some nice perks, and the service really stood out. Breakfast was just what I wanted. I had a wonderful stay.
