Capital O 23618 Hotel Royal Benza

I booked through booking.com well ahead of time, but the hotel denied me a room the day before check-in, and only after I asked them to reconfirm. With renovation going on, management should have told guests with accepted bookings well in advance instead of leaving us to deal with the hassle.

Cockroaches were everywhere, the rooms smelled, and the bathroom doors couldn’t be locked from outside, so the smells came into the room. I couldn’t sleep the whole night. The main door also couldn’t be locked from inside. The hotel service person said that if someone locked it from inside, nobody could open it from outside. I understood that, but sometimes it could still be opened from outside, and that kept me awake. The area outside smelled bad too, with drain water flowing along the hotel. It felt like a slum area. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We stayed one night with family. The good things were the Wi-Fi and TV with all channels, and the staff gave us an extra mattress free. The King deluxe room didn’t have a king size bed. There was only limited parking, enough for 4-5 cars. There was no hot water, then even the regular water stopped. No room service or in house restaurant. Avoidable, especially with those basic water problems.

Coffee at breakfast came in broken cups, and the service was painfully slow. That was after we arrived at 4 PM to find no towels or toilet paper, plus a broken toilet jet spray. We had to ask for every basic item, which shouldn't happen before guests even settle in. I'd stayed at The Park Hyderabad a few years back and had a great experience, so I booked The Park Signature Hotel Banza expecting the same level. This stay fell well short of that and of what I'd expect from the Park brand.
