I stayed on 10 January. The staff were polite, but that didn’t make up for how uncomfortable and insecure the stay felt. The large room window had three sliding shutters and no latch or lock, which affected privacy and made me worry about safety. A family in the next room made excessive noise through the night, and I couldn’t sleep for hours. I reported it to reception, expecting them to step in, but my complaint was ignored and nothing meaningful was done. What bothered me most was the hotel’s lack of response after I raised it. A hotel should offer a safe, restful stay. Here, management didn’t address the noise, and the room lacked a basic safety feature. Polite staff can’t make up for poor management, inadequate maintenance and disregard for guest comfort. This was one of my worst hotel experiences. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful, secure place near Vijayawada Junction.

The bed was comfortable and the room had a big TV, but there was no connection for it. The bathroom was good, though there was no water at night. I asked for a drinking water bottle and got no response, so I had to go out and buy one myself. I’d booked three nights, but they asked me to leave the next morning. Management gave no clear explanation.

The room was clean, but the toilet had no faucet and there was no hot water. The white towels looked black and really need replacing. They didn’t have drinking water and wouldn’t provide any when we asked, saying we had to pay for it. The service was very poor.

The front office staff were rude and indecent, with no common sense. There was an uncle, a woman wearing lipstick and makeup, and another man. Management should appoint someone with proper customer relations skills. Thank you.

I had a very disappointing experience with OYO and Hotel Surya Grand in Vijayawada. After booking and paying the full amount through the OYO app, I arrived to check in and was asked to pay extra. I showed proof of payment, but the staff said they didn’t know about it and sent me to OYO customer care. The hotel staff pressured me to pay more, and OYO support didn’t help properly. This happened late at night and caused a lot of trouble. In the end, I had no choice but to pay the additional amount. Both OYO and the hotel created unnecessary problems. I suggest not trusting OYO offers or paying online, since the hotel may still demand extra at check-in.
