I called OYO directly to book after having trouble with this before, but when I arrived, the hotel said it wouldn't accept online payments. Why offer that option at all? They expected me to pay again, even though I had already paid online. I called OYO back and explained what happened. They apologized, but that didn't make me feel any better. Other people may book through the app and then be unable to get a refund because they don't know about this. I managed to get one because this had happened to me before. Be careful with OYO: don't book online. Go to the hotel or call first and check the details.

This hotel and its staff are awful. Like others have said, they demand at least 1200 extra. I booked online, but they wouldn't let us stay until I paid. I paid in the end and asked for a bill, but they refused to give one. Oyo support was terrible when I tried contacting them. The house staff said the area manager Surya knows about this. I'm not sure why Oyo still lists the place, or whether the local manager gets a commission or bribe.

The price shown on Oyo is low, but they don't count that payment when you arrive and ask you to pay again, sometimes double. They don't even have a list of Oyo bookings. The room price is at least 1200 and seems to change depending on their mood, I guess. They also allow only two people in a room, whatever your needs or requirements are.

It might work for a quick transit, but the host needs to be more welcoming. I booked for a few hours after arriving in the morning, called ahead about my late arrival the next day, and got approval for a couple of extra hours. When I got there, I found it was a house with two rooms used by OYO. The rooms were okay, but the lady wouldn't let me in because, she said, 'saab is not here'. I explained I was travelling and needed a little rest before another meeting, but she wouldn't change her mind. The contact person's phone was switched off, so I called a friend who speaks Telugu to explain. She kept saying nobody had told her and she couldn't let me in. It took 30 minutes before I was finally allowed inside. I showered quickly and lay down, but then the woman looking after the place came back with another woman, maybe a receptionist, to say, 'Sir wants to talk.' He apologized, but my entry had already been delayed and my short sleep interrupted. They gave me a towel, but no soap, toothbrush, or anything like that. It was a bitter experience.
