Amrezy Resort & Spa - Wayanad

There’s plenty to see and do within Vythiri Village Resort, from the artificial waterfall and two pools to its activity areas and four restaurants. During my stay, though, just one restaurant was open. The grounds are expansive, beautifully designed, and surrounded by nature, while the rooms and location both deserve a 5/5. It feels like a premium resort tucked into Wayanad. Food and service didn’t live up to the property. Breakfast was disappointing, with several cold items and only one live omelette station. Food quality was average overall, and a few dishes fell below average for a resort of this size and reputation. Cricket, cycling, and archery are good ideas, but poor maintenance limited how much I could enjoy them. Staff said they were short-handed for the holiday season, which may account for some service gaps. That’s understandable on peak travel dates, but better planning would make a real difference. I stayed on 25th and 26th December 2025. The resort has great rooms and a wonderful location, but food, service efficiency, and activity upkeep all need work. With better execution, it could be a truly memorable experience.

The staff were attentive throughout our stay. We were there for our wedding anniversary, and they brought a cake and card right at midnight. I’d arranged a flower bouquet as well, and they delivered that too. We really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. We chose a pool villa at this large resort, staying from 20th May to 23rd May. It was spacious and had a classic, old-style feel to the furnishings, though not antique. The private pool was clean, with proper water circulation, and the privacy made our stay especially relaxing. I’d have given five stars, but the restaurant was chaotic, in-room dining was delayed, and some orders were wrong. The F&B Manager met us personally, apologized, and took time to listen to our suggestions. I hope the service gets better, because the resort has a lot of potential. It was still a very good stay, and I’d recommend it.

A special thanks to the chef and staff for helping us on checkout day. While I was having breakfast, I asked if they could pack some Khichdi for my 3-year-old to eat on the road. They explained that rice dishes were usually part of lunch or dinner, but said they’d check with the chef. They brought us some, and wouldn’t even let me pay, saying, "it is for the kid, so, it is ok sir". Really kind of them. We stayed a couple of days. Google Maps was accurate, and there was plenty of parking on the property. The resort is very green and well maintained, though its long, rectangular shape means it doesn’t feel especially wide or spacious. The rooms and washrooms were clean. Vans run the length of the grounds, so you can wait for one or call to have it arranged rather than walking. The artificial waterfall and bridge were highlights. The food was good, and the women managing the restaurant staff did a very good job. Everyone we met was courteous. There was live music, and the singers were very talented. The indoor game room had table tennis, carroms, chess, and a small trampoline for kids. There were also enough outdoor activities to spend some quality time at the resort.

The buffet had a good variety and the food was enjoyable. With the resort’s quiet atmosphere, meals felt relaxed and unhurried. Vythiri Village Resort is surrounded by lush greenery, and it’s an easy place to slow down and take in the peaceful Wayanad setting. Our room was spacious, clean, thoughtfully designed, and private. The property was well maintained, with care evident around the grounds. The staff were warm, courteous, and ready to help, which added a lot to the stay. Whether walking around or just enjoying the surroundings, it offers a comfortable kind of quiet luxury. It’s a memorable place for couples, families, or anyone hoping to step away from routine and reconnect with nature. We’d love to come back.
