The pricing is better than at other resorts, and the food is tasty. The staff were super courteous, too. There’s lots of open space for sports and other activities, and the swimming pool is a real draw. They could add more adventurous activities to bring in a bigger crowd. Still, it’s somewhere you must visit once a year.
The health spa was the most popular facility when this was a well-known one-day picnic spot for families and corporate groups. The outdoor areas were clean and maintained, and the food was good, as were the mangoes in summer. They were planning to demolish the property and build a weekend home scheme.
Getting there was impossibly difficult. It’s literally in the middle of nowhere, and I ended up having to stay because of that. The food and service were lousy, and the place barely qualifies as a resort. It was a complete waste of money and the worst excuse for a resort I’ve experienced, even though I’ve stayed in some terrible places before. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who wants to relax, enjoy themselves, or eat good food.
I was birding in the area and planned to check out the facilities, but it seemed the place had been closed for a long time. Thick growth at the gate kept us from going in, so I had to turn back.
The food was excellent, and the rooms were neat and clean. We came with family for a mix of study and enjoyment, and got what we came for. There’s a large area for small children to play, plus trees and lawns that are kept up, and the pool water was clean and maintained. The property and ambience were beautiful. Massage therapy and netra tarpan were satisfactory, especially the massage: the pressure points were pressed properly and enough time was given. It’s a nice resort to stay at, around 30-35 km from the centre of Vadodara.
