The food had plenty of variety, but the taste just wasn't there. I stopped in hoping for idli and vada after two weeks out in the valley, and now it looks like I'll have to wait until I reach bangalore for proper idli and sambhar. The ambience was good, and the rooftop view was worth the money.

The staff and chefs looked after us so well, even preparing our baby's food exactly as we asked. We spent a week at Kamats and loved the hospitality and food. The chefs cooked as well as any big city chefs. The beautiful surroundings and stay made our Himachal visit feel complete. We came away with wonderful memories, and this place has left us with a special nostalgia. Truly recommend Kamat at Waknaghat.

We had paneer tikka and dosa, and both were soft and delicious. The food was awesome and well priced, with delicious South Indian options. It's a nice family place, especially if you're vegetarian. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service was great.

We all had a great time when I visited with family and friends in the second week of May'18. The terrace seating, decorated with seasonal flowers, was lovely, and the washrooms were exceptionally neat and clean. In Shimla, washrooms at most restaurants and hotels are pathetic by comparison. Cleanliness and good service earn this place 5/5 from me. They pay attention to the little things. Special thanks to Happy Singh, the manager and a great person. Great job, Lalit, keep it up!

We ordered vidhal wada and masala dosa, and both the food and service were superb. The vidhal wada was so tasty I still remember it, and the masala dosa was excellent too. The location has one of the best sunsets you can see, and the ambience was really good, with everything in its place. I went to kamats at Waknaghat with two friends. It could be a great place for families and parties.
