Jolfa Hotel

The hotel is right in the middle of the market area, so it's easy to head out and explore. They can also help arrange a cab or find someone to translate at the counter. Breakfast had good options and the service was okay, though I had to call repeatedly to get the room cleaned or sort out other things.

The staff were friendly and knew their jobs, and the hotel sits right in the downtown core. I stayed for four nights after booking four years ago, so my impressions may be dated. The room looked worn, though it was still nicely decorated. Breakfast was acceptable, and the price felt fair for the place.

The atmosphere in Jolfa is what made this stay for me. Between the church clock bell and all the cafes, the neighborhood has a really cool feel, so the hotel's minor shortcomings didn't bother me much. The rooms aren't especially exciting, and breakfast is very ordinary with few choices. The rate was reasonable, and I got a discount when I called. The staff were helpful, and I think I'll come back.

The bed and bathroom were clean, but the breakfast was poor, and even what they offered wasn't great quality. A limited budget can still be used more thoughtfully. I could also hear noise from inside the hotel in my room.
