The bedroom was clean and comfortable for a night, and having parking on site was handy. The hotel seemed to have had some problems before we arrived: the changing rooms were broken, and snowfall meant the hot tubs couldn’t be used, which was disappointing. There was no kettle, coffee setup, or fridge in the room, and we had to ask for a hair dryer. Still, it was a pleasant and comfortable overnight stop.

We ate both breakfast and dinner here, and the food was amazing, made by the friendly Italian staff. The deluxe rooms are new and look out over a beautiful valley. The whole place feels warm and cozy, like home. Highly recommended!

We wished we could have stayed longer than one night at Hestheimar. The rooms were clean and nicely designed, and the hot tubs looked out over a beautiful valley. We even saw the aurora right outside the hotel. We had a wonderful time.

The meals were great, and the staff happily made something special for our 5-year-old. We only stayed one night, but the cute cabins and their terrific views had us wishing we’d booked more time. We’re hoping to come back and enjoy more of what Hestheimar has to offer.

We were there in early April 2026 and really enjoyed the cosy lounge. We were lucky enough to catch an amazing Aurora, which apparently is fairly common in the area. Breakfast was great, and the staff made us feel looked after with their Italian hospitality, grazie mille! Taking our shoes off in the hallway felt odd at first, just because we weren’t used to it. The shower seemed old and needs a replacement head, and the window was missing a couple of screws. Even with those issues, I’d book here again.
