Hildibrand Hotel

It was so quiet that we could really relax, and the shower box was wonderfully spacious. The self check-in was simple, and staff got back to us quickly with helpful replies. Our room at Hildibrand hotel was large and clean, with little touches that felt carefully thought through, from the lovely fragrance to the decorative plants and different coffee options. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend it.

In Neskaupstaður, on Iceland's scenic eastern fjords, this is a charming, well-equipped hotel with spacious suites and harbor views. It makes a peaceful but convenient base for exploring the Eastfjords, whether you're staying one night or longer. The hospitality feels family-friendly, and the place has a nice local character alongside the comfort.

We were looking for somewhere on Iceland's east coast with a kitchen, and found this hotel with full-kitchen suites. The suite was modern, clean, and nicely decorated, with a lovely bay view. Staff were friendly, and both check-in and checkout were easy. The town was quiet and pleasant.

The beds were the best part, very comfortable, and the hotel is probably the best choice in this little town for one night. I wouldn't stay for two. Our ground-floor room looked onto the rear parking lot, so people kept walking past, and there was no view. The rooms have no real soundproofing, so conversations carry clearly. Bring earplugs. There weren't enough working outlets, with some broken and one just a cable sticking out of the wall. The fridge also hummed at night, though unplugging it was easy. Worst of all were the metal outdoor stairs: every footstep was loud, and we could even feel the vibration. Overall, it's kinda okay for a night.
