The place is remote, so in the dark winter it can make you wonder if you're headed the right way, though I found it easy enough and Google Maps took me straight there. The hosts were good, the accommodation simple, nice, and clean, and breakfast was excellent. I recommend staying here.

We had a great breakfast even though we were the only guests, thanks to our very friendly host. The hot tub just outside was ready to use and at a perfect temperature. We could also use the kitchen to make our own dinner. The guest house was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The hosts messaged us in winter to ask what time we'd like breakfast since we were the only guests, a thoughtful touch. They were very accommodating and clearly take good care of the place. The hot tub is sheltered from the wind, so it was pleasant even on a gusty night with -6C air temperature. Inside, the heated tile floors were great. This was my favorite place to stay on my recent Iceland trip, especially if you're visiting Hraunfossar and Barnafoss.

The kitchen was very well equipped and the place was clean. We didn't know about the hot tub until we arrived, so that was a great surprise. Breakfast was yummy and served at 8am. This is the best guesthouse experience we've had so far, and the only place we'd found offering breakfast included.

A cozy, clean place with a fully equipped kitchen to use and a hot tub to enjoy. It's not in a popular spot, but it's a good choice if you're going to Lava cave. Highly recommended.
