Breakfast was a lovely start to the day, with plenty of hearty, tasty choices. We also found the guesthouse cozy and comfortable, and it was easy to walk to the harbor or a couple of restaurants. The walls are a little thin, though we hardly heard anything since everyone was quiet.

We had such a lovely stay, thanks so much to the owners for being so welcoming and kind. The breakfast was the best we had in Iceland, and the whole place was spotless and clearly well cared for.

Breakfast costs extra and the website doesn't make that clear. Akkeri worked fine for an overnight stop, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. The room was very clean, though quite basic, with minimalist Nordic decor. The TV wasn't working, but that didn't matter much. Of the places we stayed while traveling around Iceland, this was the most just-okay one for me.

After a long day out exploring, the freshly made food was a real treat, and the peaceful setting and beautiful views made it easy to relax. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The owners were genuinely warm and did so much to make the stay memorable. It was also well placed for the sights we wanted to see. This was the standout stop on our Iceland road trip, hands down.

We could easily park, and our spacious, very clean room looked out over the harbor. The hosts were gracious, and the town and location were great. This was our favorite place to stay during our 10-day trip to Iceland, and a perfect base for exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
