We spent hours reading and relaxing in the well-kept shared garden, which has everything the three apartments need. Our dog had a great time too, and dogs are welcome. The farmhouse is only a few kilometers from Abbadia San Salvatore, in a cool spot around 1,000 meters above sea level. Our two-bedroom apartment was comfortable, well furnished, and well equipped. Barbara wasn’t on site, but she was very kind and always available if we needed anything. There’s plenty of convenient parking by the entrance. The road beside the apartments gets little traffic, mostly from people going to other properties, so it’s very peaceful.

It’s a warm, welcoming home, and the host was very kind. It’s a little outside the center, so you need a car to reach shops and other places.

The garden has chairs, loungers, a swing, and a barbecue, and it’s a lovely spot to sit quietly or look at the stars. Barbara and her husband were warm and hospitable, and made us feel at home. We spent a week in the well-equipped first-floor apartment, with a lovely view from the woods on Mount Amiata all the way to Lake Bolsena in the distance. It’s well placed for visiting both the villages around Mount Amiata and the more touristy towns of the Val d'Orcia.

Mia and Johnny loved the place too, and dogs are welcome. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the pretty, well-kept garden, shared with the other two apartments, and there’s plenty of well-lit parking right outside. Barbara was very kind and happy to answer questions. The farmhouse is just outside Abbadia San Salvatore, handy for nearby towns and for Mount Amiata’s summit, less than a half-hour drive away. I’d gladly return. Thank you.
