The service was warm and helpful, and I had a wonderful lunch. I especially enjoyed the homemade pasta with deer and polenta with porcini, paired with a locally grown red wine that was full-bodied, fruity, and had a long finish. Apple tart for dessert too. All around excellent, and I can't wait to go back.

The hotel is clean and beautifully decorated, with wonderful staff and great food. There are several trekking paths nearby, and Mt. Amiata is a lovely place to visit, so it's a great spot for a getaway. Prices differed a little, but we were told in advance. Wi-Fi in the rooms is almost nonexistent, though there is a signal on the ground floor, just as the website says.

The porcini mushroom with pecorino fondue was especially amazing, along with the pici with ragu and cinghiale polenta. The service, presentation, and setting were outstanding too.

Loved the atmosphere and the special wine selection, with dishes at a high level. The mushroom soup and wild pork were my favorites. Recommended.
