The bed was a huge relief after two awful ones on our road trip, it was roomy and comfortable enough for us to sleep really well. The only annoying thing was that the headboard and footboard weren't fixed to the bed frame. They shifted and squeaked whenever I bumped them, so as a taller person I had to stay carefully centered while sleeping. Everything else was lovely. The room felt rustic but was clean, thoughtfully decorated, well laid out, and had modern comforts. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, with views all around. We came in mid-March, when it still felt wintry outside, though the trees were budding and the weather was great. The couple who renovated the place did a wonderful job, and the owners and service were outstanding. We enjoyed the nearby communities and the natural and historical sights. Breakfast and dinner are available, but we only had breakfast once since we spent the other days exploring. I sometimes doubt almost perfect online reviews, but after staying here, I wondered why everyone hadn't given it a perfect score. We hope to return and would choose this place first if we're in the area.

We were there for just one night, and it was very quiet. Breakfast was fair, Italian style. Dinner is served without a menu, so you eat what they bring: antipasto, pasta, three pieces of chicken, dessert, coffee, and wine. It cost us 50 euros each. The air conditioning wasn't working, which is why I gave it four stars.

The owners were so kind and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. We said yes when they asked if we wanted dinner, and the four-course home-cooked meal was amazing: antipasto, first course, second course, and dessert. They grow vegetables and olive trees and raise pigs. We only stayed one night in November with my family, and I wish we'd booked longer. This was our favorite place of the whole two-week Italy trip. Our large room had been fully upgraded, with a fabulous bathroom, and the balcony looked out over beautiful snow-capped mountains. We loved the accommodation, food, and hospitality.

Donnatella and Giancarlo were wonderful hosts. When I lost my bag at a toll booth, they called the police and arranged to have it returned, they really saved the day. The fresh food was beautifully prepared, and we enjoyed several of the three-course dinners with wine included. A friend and I stayed in late May. The renovated rooms and dining rooms are lovely, and the peaceful setting and scenery made the stay feel perfect. It was the best experience we could have hoped for in Abruzzo, near the national parks. I'd love to come back with my family.

There aren't hiking trails right at the property, but it's a great base for walking in the Maiella area. We had a lovely stay, and thank you to the very friendly owners. Our ground-floor room, Orione, was a good size and had a beautiful view of the Maiella, though it was a little colder down there. The view from upstairs is even better. Breakfast was very good, with homemade cake, marmalade, yoghurt, juice, bread, and coffee. We ate dinner there six times. It was traditional, varied, delicious, and came in three courses plus dessert.
