The service was a little above average, and breakfast was good, though it could be better. My room wasn’t clean when I checked in. It’s a nice hotel, but by American standards I wouldn’t call it four stars. The air conditioning is controlled at reception; even though there’s a thermostat in the room, you can’t adjust it yourself.

It’s a fairly small hotel, but it does the job, and the sea is only a two-minute walk away. There are lots of mosquitoes around, though you can borrow a kind of mosquito repellent machine for 10 EUR. The bar is lovely, with live acoustic music once a week, and drinks are inexpensive. A coffee is just 0.8 EUR.

The staff are generally very friendly and do their best within the limits they have. You get what you pay for, but the place is listed online as four stars and feels like only three by Northern European standards. There’s no sea view at all because tall trees stand across the street. The restaurant may be called the gourmet restaurant, but the meals aren’t gourmet.

I’ve tried calling the Hotel since yesterday to book the Spa day included in a package I bought, and nobody has answered. It’s very disappointing and feels unprofessional.

No WiFi in the rooms in 2021. There were other issues too, but that alone says enough about how much they care about guests.
