San Nicolò House

The room felt like home, and Gianluca had thoughtfully moved us from the double we booked to a larger room with a balcony because we were traveling with a child. It was comfortable, well equipped and meticulously cleaned. The bed was comfy, the bathroom spacious and spotless, and Gianluca provided plenty of towels. There was a hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel, and the shower itself was large and comfortable. Breakfast was generous for a B&B. The food was packaged, which I actually prefer for hygiene, and it was good. I don’t get the thousands of negative reviews about it. We were in Catania, so instead of complaining, go out and get a nice granita! There was plenty of light from the two bedside lamps and ceiling light, plus lots of outlets, drawers and a wardrobe. The TV remote was a bit unreliable and needed several button presses, but we didn’t mind enough to mention it since we were out during the day. The modern air conditioning worked perfectly. There’s also a shared kitchen and a nice, spacious outdoor lounge with sofas. I’ve grown very fond of this beautiful property. The one downside, through no fault of the owner, is parking: the road is narrow and it’s a residential area with lots of cars, so finding a space was difficult on some days. Gianluca was kind, thoughtful and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!

We spent eight lovely days here as a family, and with our six-month-old baby, having a kitchen was a lifesaver. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the common areas were beautiful. The fridge was always stocked with drinks, plenty of pastries and cereals for breakfast, and excellent coffee to get the day started. The owner was kind, very helpful and ready to handle any requests. The location was quiet at night and convenient for visiting Catania’s main attractions and nearby places like Acicastello, Acitrezza and Acireale. It’s a beautiful B&B. We highly recommend it and will definitely return to San Nicolò House B&B.

The owner made us feel very welcome and was available whenever we needed anything, clearly keen to make sure guests were happy. The room was just the right temperature, and the place felt clean and inviting. Breakfast in the morning was simple but plentiful. I recommend it to everyone!

The location made a great base for exploring the area’s attractions, and it was easy to get to. Our room was lovely, clean and relaxed, with all the essentials, and we chose the one with a hot tub, which was perfect. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide selection, and the coffee machine deserves a special mention, the coffee was excellent. Highly recommended.
