The location is great, just a few steps from Piazza Duomo, but the price felt high for what we got. The TV didn't work, the bathroom was out in the hallway, the sink and bidet were clogged, and there was very little hot water.

What a disgusting place. It's in the historic center on a very narrow, noisy street, and you can already tell from the entrance. The owner showed me around what she called a house, which felt like a generous description. When we got upstairs, she asked for money instead of offering water or coffee. It was €5.00 more than the agreed price, obviously without a receipt, paid under the table. I paid, then she showed me around. The place was filthy, messy, and completely unusable. The next morning there was no hot water when I went to shower, and I saw the gas cylinders were completely empty. What kind of hospitality is that? I was meant to have two relaxing days, but I ran away instead. Shameful. Highly not recommended.
The owner was kind enough to guide us through a side street to avoid traffic, but the rest of the stay was so disappointing. There was dust and filth, including two cockroaches in one bathroom. The air conditioning couldn't be used because the remote had no batteries. Cars kept passing noisily even in the middle of the night, and I couldn't sleep a wink. Thinking about how dirty it was made me feel sick. On arrival, the owner also asked us to pay taxes on top of the agreed price. She didn't give us a receipt then; we had to ask, and still never got one because she must have "forgotten" it. I strongly advise against staying here.
Acireale is beautiful, and the location is very central, but the standard was poor. The room and furnishings were awful, cleaning was lacking, and the shower only had cold water. There was no comfort, internet, minibar, or breakfast, and the price was excessive. I don't recommend it.
A really lovely place, small and simple with only a few rooms. The people were courteous and kind, and there was air conditioning in the rooms. It's tucked behind the Cathedral of Acireale.
