Lovely pool, though the water was cold. There were plenty of staff, and the hotel was lovely too. You'll need a car since it's in the middle of nowhere.

The rooms were very good and clean, and the restaurant was nice. Breakfast wasn't very varied, but it was okay.

8/10
The staff were helpful and pleasant, and getting into town was easy: a regular local bus stops outside, or you can order a taxi. The hotel sits on the outskirts. I liked the pool, with its nearby bar, and the view toward Mount Etna. Food was good, and the room and bed were comfortable.

2/10
There was no Wi-Fi in the room, only at reception and in the main hall, and the facilities felt old. The food was awful: breakfast was scant and tasteless, and dinner was inedible. Even the toilet paper was just a few thin, small paper towels, too flimsy to blow your nose with. Hygiene was mediocre, and the hotel is 20 km outside Catania. The staff weren't willing to help and made excuses for the shortcomings. This barely deserves three stars, let alone four. Spend your money somewhere else.

2/10
The food was atrocious. Breakfast had scrambled eggs as the only hot option, with no bacon, sausage, or beans, though continental items were available. At dinner we could choose meat or fish, but the only sides were one potato and courgette. If you didn't like the options, there was no alternative. The hotel and grounds were fine, but neither reception nor the other staff seemed friendly, and there wasn't a courteous smile. I wouldn't go back.
