They cancelled our room just two days before the trip, saying there had been a mix-up. I’d booked by phone so I could take my wife and daughter to see the famous Acireale floats. With so little notice, I couldn’t find anywhere else to stay, and we missed the chance to enjoy the Acireale Carnival together. I wouldn’t recommend booking here. You could arrive and find there’s no room, so look elsewhere.

From the balcony we could look out over the cathedral square, where, by chance, the carnival floats had been set up. It was a fun surprise for us summer visitors. There aren’t beaches by the sea, though there are places set up for swimming and sunbathing. Book ahead if you want a sunbed. The place is beautiful, but I’ll leave the rest for you to discover.

It felt like home and had everything guests need. The place was comfortable and well organized, and the owners made us feel very welcome.

The apartment is really spacious and in a great location. You can see the sea from it.
