Tenuta La Timpa

The food and wait staff were very good, and the location is exceptional, but our experience with the rooms and manager Rosario was extremely negative. The rooms smelled of mold, lacked basic amenities, and weren't properly equipped. In one room, the bidè and toilet leaked so badly that the bathroom flooded. We notified the staff, but nothing was done overnight, and the water spread into the bedroom. When we pressed for help, we later found wet towels left on the bathroom floor, filling the room with a horrible smell. We tried to raise reasonable hygiene concerns, but Rosario was condescending, minimized them, and avoided responsibility. We'd been patient and flexible, especially considering what we were paying. Dinner was another problem. After ordering, we waited nearly two hours with no update, and some dishes were missing when the food finally arrived. We brought that up too and were dismissed again. Rosario then parked his car behind ours in the driveway, which felt like a hostile gesture, as if he thought we might leave without paying because we were unhappy. When we tried once more to talk it through, Rosario showed little ability to accept responsibility for the distress he had caused three paying clients and even made statements that felt like gaslighting. I'd strongly advise avoiding this place, whatever the view.
