The location was my favorite part. It’s near the edge of Tuscany, and the area feels more authentic and less touristy. The place itself is cozy and cute, and Simona made us feel so welcome that it felt like visiting an Italian aunt. She made breakfast herself, replied to our messages quickly, and shared local restaurant recommendations. There are also sweet dogs and cute cats.

We arrived at Podere Orto and immediately felt welcomed, happy, and relaxed. Simona, Giuliano, and Maia were wonderful hosts who did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Their local dining tips were excellent, especially Hosteria Villababa and S'Osteria 38 Pizza. The wine tasting is a must, too. The wine was some of the best I’ve ever had. Podere Orto is a lovely escape from the pace of big cities, with great hospitality and outstanding wine. Highly recommended!

At Podere Orto, Simona, Giuliano, and Maia made me feel like family. Their love of wine making and hospitality really comes through, and the natural wine and accommodation were among the finest I could have found in Italy. I enjoyed a tasting at their picturesque home overlooking Trevinano, then explored Aquapendente, Bolsena, and San Casciano with their local knowledge. We shared plenty of jokes and stories as we got to know each other. If you get the chance to visit, don’t hesitate!

We spent part of our honeymoon in this magical place, and it felt like a trip of a lifetime. The rooms, the atmosphere, the food, the hosts, and the surrounding area and village were all just perfect. The hospitality made us feel as if we were coming home after being away for ages, leaving family behind when we had to go. We hope to return someday!
