The welcome was warm, and everything was quiet, clean, and comfortable. There’s a large parking lot, and the food is simple but tasty. Well worth the price, strongly recommended.

Fantastic.
The food is a real highlight at the Valle d'Acqua Monastery. Olives, mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, fish, and more bring flavours from both land and sea to the table. Fresh produce and meat go into generous servings of spaghetti and fresh pasta, as well as other dishes prepared so well that simply saying we ate well doesn’t do it justice. The cooking tastes almost divine. The manager and staff add to the experience with their genuine friendliness and generous spirit of hospitality. These are the kinds of pleasures you really have to experience for yourself. We arrived very stressed, but the beautiful setting helped us relax. Italy is beautiful in so many ways, yet a welcome like this at a hotel is hard to find. We hope we can come back. We’d love to thank David and his partner Ilaria, his brother Valeriano, and David and Valeriano’s parents, who may have passed on so much skill and affection for the hospitality business and perhaps more. Surrounded by deep green hills and the rugged Sibillini and Laga mountains, Valle d'Acqua feels like a little kingdom of beauty and peace. Its ancient monastery is austere and solitary, almost a reminder that nature shouldn’t be overturned by human intervention, and that things should stay in harmony with it. There are many pictures and descriptions of the area’s food and of the hospitality, or rather the art of hospitality, at this accommodation, but you have to try it yourself to understand. The natural and cultural surroundings are looked after with care, with particular attention to the outdoor spaces. David, the property’s manager, has brought creativity and passion to that work. If you visit in summer and spend time with him under the pergola, enjoying the cool air and the lovely view of Hotel Monastero Valle d'Acqua, you’ll quickly sense his warmth and dedication. Maybe it’s a love that runs through generations, as it does in his whole family. Perhaps those family bonds are part of what makes everything work. June 2025 Silvia Borgogni and Giovanni Gunnella
The restaurant was lovely, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We ate incredibly well, and the capocollo porchettato was unbeatable. We’ll be back!
