We had such a good three-night stay with our six-year-old. Lovely hikes, warm hospitality, tasty food and great local wine.

We used this as a base for three nights while exploring the busy Amalfi Coast. It was a lovely escape from all the crowds, with great views, and the start of the Sentiero Degli Dei is only about a 15-minute drive away. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. A great place all around!

We had such a nice time at il castagno in May 2025 with our 15-month-old. The simple accommodation was clean and practical, and the location made it easy to get to the nicest places and activities along the coast. The welcoming family, Isabella, Fausto and Pasquale, made us feel at home away from home. And the Nocciola on the Panettone is something you really shouldn't miss.

The meal was a fixed menu, made with ingredients fresh from the farm where the restaurant is located. It felt like being welcomed into an Italian family's home for dinner. Very fair prices, and we left full and happy. Highly recommend.

It felt like visiting your Italian family. The family running the place are absolutely lovely, the views are stunning, and the prices are very reasonable. The home-cooked food made with ingredients from the farm was delicious. Can't recommend it enough.
