Agriturismo Il Pettirosso

This isn't a Hilton, it's better! ;-) The food was simply perfect, and the owner was really helpful. You can pay by contactless card here.

The owners made me feel so welcome, and we had a good laugh together in the evening. One of them even showed me around the city for a bit while he was out grocery shopping. The patio and small garden out front make for a really relaxing setting. My room was spacious and clean, and the food made with fresh garden ingredients was delicious. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

Update: Thanks for replying, but it really wasn't necessary. My low score is for several reasons. There was no Wi-Fi signal at all in room #4, and internet in the rooms matters when you're travelling. The place was hard to find without the booking platform we used. I also believe the host charged us twice for the city tax: our €49 a night Booking rate already included €4 in taxes for both of us, but the host added that amount again, making it €53. Whether it's €4 or €0.40, I find that dishonest and untrustworthy. The host said there was a problem with third-party card payments and asked us to pay directly, so I used the same bank card as in my online reservation. Later, Booking notified me that the reservation had been cancelled because of an invalid card. The host was welcoming enough until we said we didn't want dinner, then stopped being friendly. Breakfast was just cookies and coffee, not really breakfast, and we didn't take that option. The representative's reply blamed and shamed the guest instead of admitting fault. Other guests should know what happened. I hope the place comes to care more about its reputation than €4. Cheap. The room was a little dated but had what we needed apart from the Wi-Fi. It's pet-friendly, which was the main reason we booked, and the second was the €49 a night deal. The balcony view was amazing, especially around 7-8 am. I'd only stay here if there were no other options and the price were around €50. I don't think it's worth €70 or more.

Our family room was spacious, very clean and tidy, and had all the utilities. The host was attentive to our requests and eager to help with details and advice. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Highly recommend.
