B&B Miramare

We stayed in the splendida room, which looked over the garden. That wasn't an issue, since the views at breakfast were stunning. The rooms have everything you need, and the location is a real gem. Gerardo is very sweet and helped us with whatever we needed. He also has a secret cave full of homemade treats, from cookies to cured ham, fresh eggs, and cheeses. Our taste buds were in for a treat. It is a bit far out, but we chose the quiet neighborhood and views, and this B&B delivered.

The bus stop is only about a two-minute walk away, and the hosts explained the buses and ferry schedules to other Amalfi Coast towns really clearly. Agerola is around 17-20km uphill from Amalfi, and the drive takes about 40 minutes because the roads are narrow and sharply curved. The mountain-top views are amazing, the hosts are friendly and very accommodating, and the rooms are cozy without getting too hot or cold. Breakfast was a favorite, especially the bruschetta and chocolate buns. Their puppies greet you, too. I'm leaving this review in case I come back, and I will, by myself or with friends.

I feel so lucky to have found this place and stayed in one of the new rooms with an ocean view. Gerardo is an exceptional host. It's close to the bus station and easy to get to Amalfi or Naples airport. There are amazing restaurants nearby, and you get to stay away from the crowds and bustle of Amalfi center.

The views from the breakfast area were just as pictured, beautiful. Our room was comfortable even through the torrential rain and wind storm one night, and there are a few adorable, very sweet dogs wandering around the property. Francesco was easily the most accommodating host of our two-week trip. He replied quickly, gave us simple directions to Miramare, helped arrange our ride when it was time to leave, and even helped us rent a scooter for the day.
