La Casa Dei Nonni

The place looks amazing in the pictures, and its location seems great for hiking along the Amalfi Coast cliffs. We were supposed to visit in two weeks, but our flight was cancelled because of the war, so we never made it there. The owners were very understanding and kind, and gave us a full refund. I hope we can go in the future. I recommend them as nice people.

After a hectic day on the coast, La Casa dei Nonni was a real retreat, with fresh air, a peaceful setting, and a breathtaking view. We were 8 people, 6 adults and 2 children, and the house was spacious and comfortable for us. The kitchen is especially large, the rooms are roomy and comfortable, and there's parking in the garden. The family were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our 6-night stay. With your own transport, Pompeii and Naples are easy to reach, and public transport runs fairly often. The village is about 1 km from the house; if you don't want to walk, there's free parking in Agerola San Lazzaro.

The uphill drive to the house might be difficult for less experienced drivers. Once there, though, we found welcoming, clean rooms that were spacious, well insulated, and had balconies looking out over a wonderful sea view. Dear Assunta was so helpful and polite. After checkout, she contacted us and arranged to return a wallet we'd left behind, which showed real integrity. We also made good use of the small stove for an evening barbecue with our friendly neighbour Ausilia. Bring charcoal. Our stay at Casa Dei Nonni was fantastic.

Waking up to that breathtaking view from the window was something else. The owner was very kind and even gave us tomatoes from her garden and a bottle of local limoncello. The rooms had plenty of space and large closets, and the sheets were clean and tidy. A truly unique B&B!
