The host was kind and friendly, and even bought vegan milk for me, though she didn’t speak much English. I also enjoyed the breakfast cookies and the lovely view from the little balcony. The mattress was uncomfortable, the bathroom smelled unpleasant, and breakfast came wrapped in plastic with nothing fresh apart from perhaps the cookies.

A small B&B right in the center of the village.

The sheets were clean and breakfast was generous. Getting the motorbikes down into the rather old-fashioned garage was awkward, though. Still, it was a decent stay.

Parking was a problem, since the property has none, and the room felt cramped with its oversized closet taking up even more space. The shower area had mold and there was rust in the bathroom, which made the maintenance seem poor. The towels had been washed, but I didn’t feel they were hygienic enough, as they seemed to have only been dried in the sun without proper sterilization. What bothered me most was seeing the owners’ frozen food kept in the refrigerator in the shared breakfast area. I found that unhygienic and unprofessional, and felt it fell short of basic standards for a hospitality business. The overall shortcomings led me to give this B&B one star, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The owner made me feel at home with her warm hospitality, and the room was comfortable with thoughtful little details. I loved the view over the village, especially from the rooms, where the landscape colors meet the sky. It’s a real hidden gem, and I’d happily come back.
