Ragno d'Oro

We stayed four nights in a junior Suite. It's a peaceful, pleasant place near the beach, with free parking in a closed area. The hotel and staff are dog friendly.

They even took care of a sea urchin spine in my daughter's and my feet, and gave us all the creams we needed, so I didn't have to figure out where to find them. Our daughter was also in good hands with the family keeping an eye on her while we got ready in a hurry. They extended breakfast for us since I'm not a morning person, and I appreciated that the juice glasses were a normal size rather than tiny. The family-run hotel was just right for us. Although the rooms are next to each other, we never heard our neighbors. It's the nicest family hotel we've stayed at so far, and we'll definitely come back.

We were within walking distance of a few shops, bars and restaurants along the coast, about 10 minutes west, and there are small beaches and archaeological sites nearby too. For a beach day, I recommend the one north of the hotel by the camping area, where sandy patches between the rocks are good for sunbathing and relaxing. The hotel is quite a way from the main tourist sights, though, so you'll need a car and it can take a while to get places. We visited in July 2017. The staff were very friendly, our room was roomy for two and the price was excellent. It was clean, with a good shower. The included breakfast buffet was decent enough. We didn't eat at the hotel otherwise. A great basic hotel.

There's very little to do in the evenings, so keep that in mind, though it could still suit a longer stay if you're fine with quiet nights. The hotel is charming and family run, beside a phenomenal sandy beach. The garden is inviting, the people are pleasant, and the rooms were nice, though they could use a little maintenance.
