Casa Vacanza Lu Lamoni

At more than 200 euros a day, this was a horrible experience and the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in. The apartment was falling apart and badly needed maintenance. The toilet didn't work at all for our entire stay. Essential equipment was missing, and they only bought it three days after we arrived. Federico, the front desk representative, was unfriendly, aggressive, and incompetent. Stay away.

The front desk staff handled our complaint unprofessionally. When we questioned the condition and asked whether we'd been given the advertised 'Superior Apartment', they told us to call their headquarters in Rome if we weren't happy. He said he was only an employee. There was no proactive, customer-focused effort to make things better for us as guests who had complained. The apartment felt dilapidated, and the furniture was falling apart. The bathrooms were dusty, sticky, greasy, and dirty. The taps were grimy and calcified with black edges. The shower cubicle was broken and leaked, with dirty black borders. The toilet seats were in pieces, and the toilet roll holder had come off. The kitchen, dishes, and decor were dirty, so I didn't want to use them. There wasn't enough crockery, and some pieces were cracked or chipped. The cabinets were musty and dirty, and the extractor was too filthy to touch. The wardrobes were also musty and falling apart, with no shelves for storage and drawers hanging crookedly. The balcony furniture was old and damaged: table legs were coming off, and there were holes in the table and chairs. When you turned on the air conditioning, water ran onto the balcony and eventually leaked down to the neighbors below. Residence Lu Lamoni in Aglientu is very poor accommodation. The place doesn't look like the pictures on various websites, and booking somewhere called 'Superior Apartment' gave us the impression there'd be some luxury or comfort. There was none. It seemed the owner hadn't invested in the apartments for years. DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION. The region has lovely beaches, restaurants, and villages, so look for somewhere else there.

Our confirmed reservation was cancelled just two days before we were due to arrive. They said they'd made a mistake and overbooked, without giving a valid reason. Thanks to Airbnb, we managed to find somewhere for our family at such short notice. I'd say booking with them is risky. You might end up with nowhere to stay.

With five people, the kitchen is far too small. There are so many wasps and flies that having a BBQ in the garden is a bad idea.
