A Due Passi Dal Centro sweet rooms

I don't usually post bad reviews. I write about most places I visit and my photos have had almost 3 million views, but when something isn't right I often choose not to risk harming a business. This time, though, I feel I need to describe our experience at "A Due Passi Dal Centro Sweet rooms". We booked through Booking, and the pictures on Booking and Google didn't match what we found. The building and rooms were in much worse condition. From the entrance there was a moldy smell. In room 4, where we were booked, large parts of the walls were covered in mold. Opening the window didn't clear the smell, and the AC smelled very bad when switched on, possibly because it hadn't been cleaned. After we checked ourselves in, we told the host we had chosen to leave and stay at another hotel because of the mold. Instead of an apology, we were told to leave the window open for 30 minutes and it would be fine. I don't agree, mold is dangerous. We didn't ask for a refund, and eventually found an amazing hotel nearby. In a later update, I also wanted to respond to the host's reply. With all due respect, I don't think that response is appropriate for someone working in customer service. On Google there are only 44 reviews, and not all are positive, just as on Booking. I can't give more than 1 for the rooms, at least room 4, see photos, or for service after reading the reply. The back-street entrance also gave us an unsafe feeling, like a favela, and there was garbage in the street. Dear host, please take this feedback constructively, learn how to handle customers, and use what they say to see what could be improved in your service and accommodation. Spend some of the money you earn fixing the problems and improving the conditions. For anyone reading this, I suggest spending a few more bucks on a place that values its customers.
