Agriturismo Passo dei Briganti

The rooms were okay, but breakfast wasn't very varied and wasn't especially good, with only a few choices. In my opinion, the evening restaurant dishes were less tasty than other reviewers suggested and didn't live up to how they looked. In one room, the cold water would sometimes run hot for a minute before cooling down. Weird.

We had a lot of fun with the friendly, hardworking waiters, and the restaurant was a highlight. Everything we tried was delicious, from the lamb and seafood to the baked vegetables. The place has a peaceful, laid-back feel, and the staff are warm and kind. Our room wasn’t luxurious, but it was clean and neat. By car, it’s easy to reach the archaeological sites, Agrigento town, and beaches like San Leone. Donkeys, cats, and a goat are there to greet you, too. I’d really like to come back.

You’ll need a car to stay here, though Agrigento’s old town and the Valley of the Temples are both an easy drive away. The staff were very helpful, the food was good, and the room was fine. It’s in the countryside, but the motorway bridge is in view, unlike in the promotional photos.

The owners were very cordial and helpful, and the main roads and nearby motorways barely brought any traffic noise. The private road in is rough, so motorcyclists should take care. The location is convenient for Agrigento and the temples. Our room was functional, and when we reported there was no hot water, we helped the woman change the boiler’s gas cylinder and the hot water came back. We ate here the night before our stay and were impressed by the variety of dishes. Breakfast was abundant, with focaccia, ham, cheese, local bread, fruit, yogurt, and lots of sweets. A very nice place.
