The terrace at night was incredible, the kind of view I’d only seen in movies. This penthouse hardly feels like an apartment, with its striking interior and modern, upscale furnishings. It’s almost like an art gallery, and the terrace is breathtaking. Giuseppe made us feel welcome right from the start. He carried our luggage, brought us a welcome drink, and gave us tips on sights, beaches, and restaurants in Agrigento. While we were out each day, he even made small things more comfortable by doing the dishes and taking out the rubbish. The street outside is bright and, to me, one of the prettiest in Sicily, with everything you need along it. There’s plenty of parking during the day, too. Our hosts gave us a goodbye present, and their hospitality was on another level. I’ll miss those days.

Gabriele was such a gracious host and went well beyond what we expected. The apartment is marvelous, very clean, and filled with magnificent artwork. It’s a place to treat with respect, and the view across The Valley of Temples is beautiful. From there, it’s a short walk down a tree-lined street to the old town, and the cathedral isn’t far either. We had a fantastic stay.

The owner made us feel at home and spoiled us with several gifts of food and wine, as well as thoughtful suggestions for our time in this charming town. We also loved visiting the studio of his friend, a renowned painter. He was exceptionally kind, and we’ll be back soon. The penthouse near the center of Agrigento has exquisite interiors and a welcoming terrace, perfect for breakfast at dawn, an aperitif at sunset, or dinner at night. From it, the views take in the Valley of the Temples and the seafront from Punta Bianca to Porto Empedocle. The owner’s art collection is beautiful and interesting, and the colors work beautifully with the natural surroundings. It has every comfort and really feels like home.
