B&B Villa Rosa

The location is great, and it could be a wonderful place if the owners were less rude and grumpy. Our children, aged 2 and 5, were talking like young children do, and we were told we should stay home when they behave that way. At breakfast, as soon as we set our dishes, napkins, and food on the table, they were taken away, with the comment that they hoped we’d get up first. The wife apologized for what her husband had done and called him “crazy,” but if that’s really the case, he shouldn’t be dealing with the public. This place welcomes guests without restrictions on children, so I expected more welcoming owners, not people who seem jealous and obsessive. Never again!

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the property itself was nice. The problem was the owner and his poor customer service. Breakfast was awful, and the service felt completely unwelcoming. We won’t be back, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it.

We were practically thrown out because the owner was bothered by our 2- and 5-year-old children. They asked for water and Nutella at breakfast, left crumbs while eating croissants, and laughed like the little kids they are. Without smiling, he kept telling us to be quiet. Once breakfast was over, he said that with such exuberant children we should stay home so we wouldn’t disturb anyone. You’d expect this from someone without children, since otherwise it’s hard to explain. Shame!

We spent two days in two rooms at this charming family-run B&B. The hosts were courteous, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The public beach is 50 meters away, and the nearest equipped beach club is less than 100 meters away. San Leone's center is a short walk, too. Highly recommend it.
