BB Al Dammuso

The breakfast was the best part, especially that yummy pistachio croissant! It's a lovely, rustic place with attention to detail and a super friendly host. Just a few steps take you down the art Street, with graffiti and colorful stairs, to the city center. I'd stay again, though the bed felt a bit damp and made noise whenever I moved, so four stars.

The window construction offers no privacy, since people walking along the street can easily look inside and see everything, as shown in the picture. The room feels dusty and smells bad, and I kept sneezing and coughing. Anyone with allergies should apparently avoid it. This is not a proper room but a basement, with windows at street level, so dust and car fumes from around wheel height come straight in. We felt cheated. There is no shower access at all, inside or outside. The owner's message saying there was no shower inside was misleading, since it could suggest an outdoor shower, but there isn't one. A room without shower access is unthinkable or unauthorized in many European countries, and a B&B like this wouldn't get a license there. The arrogant owner said that going a day without washing or showering was no problem. It was a problem after spending the day among dusty Greek temple ruins in 35-degree heat. Avoid this place at all costs.

A really original place close to Art Street. Truly recommend!
