Camping Valle Dei Templi

The toilets had no seats or paper, and the showers were tiny, with nowhere to hang clothes while showering. Still, it’s an ideal place to camp when visiting the Valley of the Temples.

We stayed for two nights at the end of October. The mobile homes are roomy enough for four people, with the bonus of two toilets, and the terrace was nice for breakfast or dinner. The campsite was quiet, though traffic from the nearby street could be bothersome at times. There are nice playgrounds and a small supermarket right outside the gates. We were given bed linen but no towels. Luckily, we’d brought our own, and I hadn’t checked whether towels were included. Cleanliness could’ve been better, though maybe it’s different in the main season, I’m not sure.

We had a small campervan and found the pitches spacious and well spread out. The location is fantastic, the customer service was good, and the facilities were fine. I’d only suggest improving the showers with better places to hang clothes, perhaps hooks outside, since anything taken inside risks getting wet. That’s a minor issue, though. It’s a bit expensive, but you’re paying for the location and I think it’s worth it. We’d come back to this area and stay here again. Thanks for having us!

A good spot for a day or two, especially if you’re visiting the temples. The showers worked well but were very small, with no dry place to hang clothes. The sanitary facilities are about what you’d expect in southern Italy. It would be nice to have soap and toilet paper available, particularly during Corona, but in general too. A toilet seat would’ve been welcome as well.
