After a 13-hour trip, I reached Agrigento exhausted and called the hotel, only to be told there was no reservation. I had booked through Booking and paid €470 in advance. Maybe the mix-up was between Booking and the hotel, but the woman I spoke to didn't help me. At first she offered another room, then stopped taking an interest and left me outside with my bags in the scorching sun. I had to wait two days to get my money back. Bad Booking and bad hotel!
