Il poggio

We spent three lovely days here. The room was bright, fresh, modern, and clean, with a big comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious and nicely decorated, with views over the sea and the house's orchard. What made it especially memorable was spending breakfast with Eduardo and his dog, Tano. Eduardo was a friendly, polite, thoughtful host who treated us like friends, and Tano was a wonderful dog with a charming personality. Breakfast was a delicious Sicilian spread: coffee, pastries, toast with his own olive oil, and fruit from the orchard. Eduardo suggested places to eat, including Kokalos, with views of the Temples. He showed us Punta Blanca, a beautiful, magical spot, and recommended seeing the Valley of the Temples at dusk, in the late light and again under the artificial lights. The conversations with Eduardo, a warm Sicilian who loves travel, culture, and travelers, and the fun with Tano left us with unforgettable memories. 100% recommended.

The owner has a big dog who wanders freely, but he's very calm and well behaved. We found the rooms clean, the hospitality great, and breakfast came with traditional pastries. The location is quiet, about 1 km from the sea and ten minutes from the center. Highly recommended.

The staff were so welcoming, kind, and attentive, and happy to share advice on enjoying the area. We had a wonderful stay at Il Poggio. The room was well kept and spotless, with air conditioning and a newly renovated bathroom. There was also access to the outdoor garden, including the option to shower outside. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty to choose from and homemade pastries made to our tastes. It's handy for getting by car or scooter to the beaches and the Valley of the Temples. Absolutely top-notch, and somewhere we'd definitely return to!

The manager, a true Sicilian, was always around with suggestions and ready to help with anything. Parking was easy, and the outdoor space was pleasant. The new B&B has recently renovated rooms with everything you need. Its location makes it easy to reach the archaeological sites, San Leone beaches, and Agrigento city, all just a few minutes by car. Excellent stay, we'll be back!
