Albergo Anita

There’s a great choice of desserts and fruit at every meal, and all the staff were helpful and courteous. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and partly renovated. The hotel is on a busy road, though, so sleeping with the windows open is difficult. The vegetable buffet isn’t available unless you ask, and there are no appetizers. The menu is very basic, and the pasta is often overcooked.

The food is excellent, and the rooms are clean and have every comfort. The location is strategic, just steps from the sea and the centre of Alassio. Every time I come back, the customer service, kindness, and helpfulness are unparalleled. Highly recommended!

There’s a private beach with a bar, and the dining room is airy with excellent food. My room was comfortable, clean, and had a bathroom with a window. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’ve returned to this family-run hotel and had another great stay. What more do you want from a holiday? I’ll be back.

For €97 per person per day, the package included parking away from the beach, cafeteria, and drinks. Beach service was another €50 a day. Yet there’s no discount for a third bed, and parking has only 11 spaces for 25 rooms, so you have to make do. The food choices felt like a one-star hotel: one first course, one main, a side and fruit or dessert, with no appetizer or salad buffet. They think they’re in Porto Cervo? You spend less there and people are much friendlier. Ligurians always find "chickens to pluck." If I could, I’d give this zero stars. Highly not recommended. Friends recommended this hotel, but luckily I never stayed there. Rudeness rules on the phone, starting with the clerk.
