Albergo Mimosa

The bathroom had ants everywhere, and its door wouldn't close. They advertise parking and Wi-Fi, but there was neither parking nor Wi-Fi. The tourist tax had also gone up by 30%. I wouldn't stay here again.

I've known this family-run inn since I was a child, and now I bring my own kids here. Once the car is parked, there's no need to use it again. The beach is just across the street and is run by the owner's cousin. It's a great setup for a family holiday, with half-board and full-board options. The chef is the owner's nephew, and everyone is very friendly. They speak French and German as well as Italian. The rooms are quite basic but adequate. That's the main thing I'd improve, though part of the inn has already been renovated. I highly recommend it.

The owner was very kind and available whenever I had a question or request. The location is excellent, just steps from the sea, about 10 minutes from the public beach and a few minutes from central Alassio. The rooms are very dated, there's no air conditioning, and the cleanliness could use improvement. The price felt high even though I'd specifically booked for the June 2 long weekend: €238 for two people for two nights, room only, with no breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

We weren't staying at the hotel, but Silvio found us a table here for dinner on August 15th. Cesare's cooking was exceptional, and the service was impeccable. The place surprised us, with a back room surrounded by plants. Fantastic, definitely worth trying.
